Cheekee Hero was born from a very personal journey.

When our youngest, Lox, faced cancer and the challenges of hospital treatment, our family experienced first-hand the emotional rollercoaster that comes with having a child in hospital.

The uncertainty, the long days, the treatments, the waiting and the impact it has on the whole whānau.

We also discovered something else.

Even in the hardest moments, little things can make a BIG difference.

A moment of laughter. A creative distraction. A thoughtful gift. Something that gives a child something to look forward to, or reminds them that they’re more than their diagnosis.

We know that every family’s journey is different, but we also know how much it means to feel supported, seen and cared for.

Lox’s journey became our inspiration to extend that same kindness to other families navigating hospital treatment.

And so, Lox’s Cheekee Hero Goodee Bags were born.

What started from a personal experience has grown into something bigger – a way for our community to come together and share a little GOOD with families who could really use it.
