Sky Tower Glow Gold
We are very proud that SkyCity's Auckland, Sky Tower has worked three times with Jazz, our Founder to Glow Gold.
The inaugural event held on the 4th September 2020 was to help raise awareness of International Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. On the 27th February 2021 to support Child Cancer Foundation's annual street appeal, the Sky Tower was lit in a brilliant gold and then again on the 17th September 2021 to support our kaupapa of raising awareness of the gold ribbon and its significance to childhood cancer.
This year Cheekee Hero has officially tagged up with Child Cancer Foundation to help amplify the cause and use their superpowers to truly make a difference. We are so grateful that Child Cancer Foundation see the value in what we are doing and are supporting grassroots.
The Sky Tower will Glow Gold on the 23rd and 24th September 2022 to support this amazing kaupapa and will also Glow Gold annually to support International Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. We will keep you all posted on future date/s.
Childhood cancer affects many families in Aotearoa. 3 families per week each year will be given the heartbreaking news of a childhood cancer diagnosis. September is a time to shine the light on our superheroes their families and supporters. It is a time to raise awareness of the gold ribbon and it's significance and also the importance of research for kinder treatments specific to children's needs.
Our goal in the future is to get as many NZ Landmarks as possible jumping on board - we'll keep you posted.
